Workshop on Development and utilization of Bangladesh Rice Knowledge Bank (DUBRKB)
 

A 3-days workshop on Development and Utilization of Bangladesh Rice Knowledge Bank (DUBRKB) project was held at Training class room, BRRI, Gazipur. Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Director General, BRRI, attended at the workshop as Chief Guest and delivered his speech. Dr. Md. Khairul Bashar, Director (Research) presided over the meeting and Dr. Md. Syedul Islam, Director (Administration) attended the workshop as special guest.

Dr Md Islam Uddin Mollah, PSO and Head Training Division, BRRI and PI, DUBRKB, coordinated the workshop and and Dr. Md. Fazlul Islam Khan, SSO, BRRI, Co-PI DUBRKB overall management the workshop. Sixteen BRRI senior scientists of BRKB working committe members and four agricultural officers of differents upazilas were attended the workshop as participants.

A thread bear discussion was done on development of existing BRKB and determined its shortfall. Finall they recommended that the new technologies including varieties which have been developed by BRRI should be inserted immediately in the BRKB as Fact Sheet form. They mentioned to add reference chapter in BRKB for details of the technologies. It is also decided that all the leaflets, booklets developed by BRRI should be included in BRKB. The house agreed to develop poster and stiker for BRKB for its well circulation.

The PI of DUBRKB gave thanke the participants and close the workshop.
